Conquering trails with the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Trailhawk allows you to fulfill this dream, blending the legendary off-road capabilities of the Jeep brand with advanced hybrid technology. Strap yourself in and join me as I embarked on an unforgettable adventure with the all new Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Trailhawk, discovering hidden trails and experiencing the wonders of nature like never before.
My Jeep Adventure From Texas To Wyoming
My Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Trailhawk adventure started in Texas and led me to Cody, WY. Because the Jeep was a 4xe hybrid Trailhawk, putting all those highway miles on it was very inexpensive on fuel. The 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid was amazing on fuel mileage, and the battery charged as I drove to keep the fuel cost down.
I have been a Jeep girl since the 90s, and anytime I can take a road trip in a trail-worthy vehicle, I know I can count on being safe and having a great time. The Jeep lineup is extensive these days, and this 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Trailhawk is definitely top on my list of must-have Jeeps.
Unpredictable Weather
The weather in Cody, WY is unpredictable and I knew we would be heading into the mountains of Yellowstone National Park. I had peace of mind knowing I was prepared for every type of terrain in the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe. It is equipped with off-road capabilities and five drive modes: Rock, Sand/Mud, Snow, Auto, and Sport. There was also a lot of rain falling while I was there, so the Quadra-lift air suspension with up to 10.9 inches of ground clearance really came in handy with those water-covered roads.
Beartooth Pass Summit
When we stopped at Beartooth Pass Summit, which is at 10,947 elevation, we opened the panoramic sunroof to take in the beautiful mountain views above us.
Handles Great In The Snow
There was still snow all around us, which made for some rough terrain at certain parts of the trip, and the temperatures were pretty cold still. The heated seats in the front and back seats made for a warm and toasty ride back down the mountain. And these aren’t your typical leather seats, they were leather and simulated suede, just one of the comfort features.
Jeeps Handle All Road Conditions
As amazing as the Jeep vehicle drove on the road conditions of the mountains, it was also an amazing ride on the city streets. It’s great to know that you can take this luxury SUV off the beaten path with the optional four-wheel drive and through various weather conditions with no problems or worries.
Modern Technology
My passengers and I really enjoyed all of the modern features of the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Trailhawk, including the heated and ventilated front seats. My friend and travel buddy Jen really got a kick out of the front passenger screen with Amazon Fire TV. We were riding in comfort in the leather and simulated suede seating surfaces with 8-way Power Front Seats with Driver’s 2-person Memory Settings. And singing to the tunes playing on the 10-speaker Audio System made for a fun-filled trip.
Touchscreen Navigation
There were a few times I needed to back up and get around the many stopped cars at every animal sighting. The 10.1-inch touchscreen display showcased the rearview camera helping me navigate around the many cars and people that tend to stop at animal sightings. It was also great for the GPS navigation system, and checking the time and weather.
Quiet And Powerful Engine
The quiet but powerful engine allowed us to view some beautiful wildlife, while not disturbing them. The push-button engine start was easy to use and allowed me to keep the key fab in my pocket for easy in and outs when we spotted animals.
The Critters Of Yellowstone
We saw a couple of grizzly bears, from a distance, a very far distance. The bison, however, were much closer, as we got an up-close look at a herd with some babies. We came across a fox that had just caught something and was most likely heading home to feed the family. We also saw some baby foxes, elk, mountain goats, chipmunks, and a beaver. It was definitely a critter-filled day in Yellowstone.
