Whether you’re traveling by plane or taking summer vacation road trips, there are a few essential items and travel accessories everyone should have with them. My top 10 summer travel must-haves you can’t leave home without are essential for any trip you take. Though some of these items are great no matter what season you travel, these are my must-have travel essentials when you take that summer trip.
10 Summer Travel Must-Haves You Can’t Leave Home Without
Tinggly Experience Box
1. One of my favorite must-have items when planning a memorable trip is an experience box from Tinggly. These experience boxes make great gifts for friends and family, too. If you are doing a Texas getaway, you could book a horseback Ride in Waco or a beer tour in San Antonio. If you are heading northwest to my favorite place on earth, you could book a Snake River Scenic Boat ride in the Grand Teton National Park. Tinggly Experience Boxes solve the question of “What are we going to do when we get there?”. Use SUMMER to get 20% off
Stay Cool In The Heat of Summer
2. One of my favorite items to take on a trip is a handheld fan. The Arctic Air Portable Fan offers 3 speeds along with a water-cooling sprayer. Find it at Amazon.
Fresh Water Anywhere
3. I am all about staying hydrated, no matter what time of the year you are traveling. But during the summer months, it’s a must. The Epic Water Vostok Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel reusable water bottle is the perfect solution to have fresh water no matter where you are. The filters are 100% recycled and offer two different options. There is a tap water filter and an everywhere filter included with each water bottle. Everyone should have their own water bottle, and you can find this item on Amazon.
Charcuterie Box Kits For Any Trip
4. Whether you are taking a road trip or flying to your destination, a Crackerology Charcuterie Box is a great way to stop those munchies in between meals. They are also great to pop in your backpack for that long hike – I will share a couple of yummy options for this. Find them on Amazon.
Stay Safe In Bad Weather
5. What are my must-haves when traveling to stay safe? A fully charged power bank with a solar and hand-crank portable charger, and NOAA radio with USB ports, and phone charger, and a flashlight are a definite must-have item. After all the destruction we have seen here in Texas and other states from horrible weather events, I won’t leave home without this item. This item has a multitude of uses, and you can find the one I have on Amazon.
Black Tablecloth
6. I’ve mentioned this item many times. I never leave home on a road trip without a black tablecloth. This item serves many purposes; the most important is hiding the items in your vehicle when you stop for food, gas, or an overnight stay. It’s also great to have if you want to have a picnic, need a blanket to stay warm, or need a sunshade when at the beach.
Plasti Bags
7. I always pack a few plastic bags and zipper bags when I travel. You never know when you need to pack up food items or seal up a wet item.
Sun Hat
8. One thing I always travel with is a summer hat. I don’t care if it is a baseball hat, cowboy hat, or fishing hat; if you are in the sun, then you should always protect your head with a hat.
Follow these travel tips for a great travel experience and to make your next trip safe and fun. Be sure to check back for a full packing list and more of my travel must-haves.
Change of Clothes
9. Whether it is a short trip or a long trip, I always have an extra change of clothes in my backpack, especially if I am flying. Anything can happen when you are traveling. You could spill a drink, fall in the mud, or drop food on your favorite travel shirt. I always bring a change of clothes with me, everywhere I go.
Go Bag
10. I always have a go bag with this list of travel essentials. This is a good idea for every road trip, and these items can change depending on the season and where I am going.
