Kayaking on Lake Woodlands Waterway
One of my favorite things to do is kayaking when I am traveling. There are so many outdoor activities available in The Woodlands. Take a kayak trip down the lazy river that leads to Lake Woodlands. There are Swan boat rides, and water bikes you can rent from Riva Row Boat House to explore the Woodlands Waterway. You could also rent a bike and head out on a bike ride through the bike trails at the park or the WG Jones State Forest.
The Woodlands Town Center Trolley Ride
One of the best ways to check out The Woodlands for the “Ultimate End-of-Summer Weekend Getaway”, is to hop on the Trolly and ride around Town Center. The free trolley is free to everyone and you can park once and hop aboard for a ride to popular retail, entertainment, and office locations. The trolleys provide transit service along an approximately 4.1-mile route connecting The Woodlands Mall, Market Street, Town Center, The Woodlands Waterway, and Hughes Landing restaurants, hotels, businesses, and residences.

Enjoy a day at Market Street, which is one of the best places to do some shopping, eat, and catch a movie at the Reel Luxury Movie Theater. Or enjoy the delicacies at Sorriso located in the Westin Hotel. The Sorriso offers a wide range of menu items, like the beet salad, flatbread pizzas, and a two-tiered charcuterie board. The cocktails are wonderful as well.

For a great home-cooked breakfast, you will want to stop by Dosey Doe Breakfast & BBQ Whiskey Bar. It is a great place for lunch and dinner too. The food is fresh and tasty, and the coffee is great. You can order everything from pancakes to a yummy fruit and granola yogurt parfait.
The Reel Luxury Movie Theater
For one of the most luxurious movie theater experiences, you will want to head over to the Reel Luxury Movie Theater and Market Street. Enjoy hand-crafted cocktails and delectable cuisine at The Audrey Restaurant and Bar. The food, like this roasted beet salad, is spectacular. And if you are in the mood for a yummy cocktail, like this Old Fashioned, then you are in for a spectacular treat.
The Republic Grille
The whole family will want to have dinner at The Republic Grille. With live music on the weekends and a wide menu selection, this is the perfect spot to grab a great dinner and enjoy the ambiance. The spinach artichoke dip is stupendous, and the chicken marsal was cooked perfectly. Be sure to try the coconut martini, it’s delightful.
Blue Door Coffee
For a great cup of coffee, and some yummy breakfast selections, be sure to stop by the Blue Door Coffee Shop. It’s located in Waterway Square, right across the bridge.
